The Dead Sea is one of the world’s natural wonders, formed over thousands of years at the lowest point on earth 423 meters below sea level. It’s known as the “Sea of Salt”, it is one of the saltiest bodies of water and the composition of the salts and minerals in the water are what make it so unique and beneficial.

The Dead Sea is just over 45 mile long, but has no outlet, so the water has a high concentration of 33% salt and minerals, compared to only 3% in the ocean. The extreme salt concentration prevent any kind of macroscopic aquatic life such as fish and plants to flourish , the water is so dense that it is impossible to sink in the Dead Sea.
